What is an eye bag removal and why is it performed?

Plastic Surgery - is it for me?

The skin is composed of many layers. In the deeper part is the collagen, the biggest protein in the body that is part of the connective tissue. Follicular Unit Extraction Explained

FUE or follicular unit extraction, or sometimes referred to as follicular unit transplantation, is a type of hair transplant surgery that involves extracting individual hair follicles from a donor part of the body, usually the sides and back of the head.

These individual follicles are then implanted in the affected areas. Typically, with the men suffering from male pattern baldness this will be the classic horseshoe area. But, it’s not limited with men. This procedure can also be done with women.

How did it start?

Follicular unit extraction was first described in 1988 by Masumi Inaba in Japan, who introduced the use of a 1-mm needle for extracting follicular units (source: Wikipedia).
